| First-year club team CFC GU11 won the recent Brea Kickoff Classic in an action-packed final game. Under the tutelage of Head Coach Don Hester, Ass't Coach Kevin Lester and Team Trainer Christy Medlin, the girls tied in their first game of the series 1-1. They never looked back, winning their next two games in shut-outs, 1-0 and 3-0. They won a 5-player round of penalty kicks, 4-2, to secure the #1 seed in their pool. The Championship game was hard-fought, with a 1-1 tie at the half. A goal with 48 seconds on the clock sealed the young team's first tournament victory. Congratulations CFC GU11. |
